The Japanese Peptide Society invites you to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations at our The 58th Japanese Peptide Symposium. This year, the symposium will be held as a virtual conference due to the still unclear situation with the pandemic. To submit your presentation, please click on the “Abstract Submission” button below.

Preparation instructions

Abstracts must be uploaded onto the website of “The 58th Japanese Peptide Symposium” in Microsoft Word file and PDF file using this template. If you simply type into this template there should be no need to worry about the page layout, font size and/or spacing.

However, some critical details are given below:

  • A one-page written in English.
  • Maximum length of abstract is one A4 sheet (not US letter) with 25 mm margins on top, left and right sides and 30 mm for the bottom.
  • Use exact 18 pt spacing throughout the document and Times New Roman font with 12 pt.
  • Title has to be bolded with uppercase letters and left-adjusted.
  • Leave one line with exact 18 pt spacing between title and author list.
  • In the case of authors from multiple institutions, superscripts, 1, 2, 3,… after the author names should be used.
  • Take 25 mm left margin for the title and the name of the author.
  • Leave one line with exact 18 pt spacing between the author list and the affiliations.
  • Underline the name of the presenting author.
  • Leave one line with exact 18 pt spacing between the affiliations and the text.
  • Indent each paragraph 1.25 cm.
  • Figures and appropriate key references [1,2] may be included if desired within the one-page limit.
  • Citations should be in-line, as a number enclosed in square brackets. The corresponding reference list (in numerical order) begins below the end of the text.

Type of Presentations

Oral Presentation

  • Oral Presentation (20 min: Talk 15 min, Discussion 5 min, changing time included)
  • Young Investigator’s Oral presentation for presenters of 32 years old and younger (11 min: Talk 8 min, Discussion 3 min, changing time included)
    Note: The talk time of Young Investigator’s Oral Presentation was changed!

Poster Presentation

Poster presentations will be carried out online system. During symposium, the slides are exhibited on-demand. In presentation time, speakers can lively present their slides and Q&A is executed in “real-time” or “chat discussion”. Slides for poster presentation can be posted from the website. The deadline for uploading presentation slides is October 8 17:00 (JST). Please contact us (58jps@peptide-soc.jp) for detailed information if needed. Presenters under 35 years old can apply for Poster Award, which has to be indicated during the submission process.
