The Japanese peptide society will postpone nominations for the Akabori Memorial Award from 2026 to 2027 because the 17th International Peptide Symposium/the 64th Japanese Peptide Symposium will be held in 2027.

The Akabori Memorial Award was established in honor of the late Professor Shiro Akabori, one of the founders of peptide and protein science in Japan. This award is conferred upon a scientist, who has made significant contributions to the advancement of research in peptide science worldwide.

It is required for the recipient of the Akabori Memorial Award 2027 to give his/her Award Lecture at the 17th International Peptide Symposium/the 64th Japanese Peptide Symposium, which will be held in Osaka, Japan, from November 21st to 25th in 2027.
